ushers and greeters

The first to make a lasting impression, Usher/Greeters welcome parishioners and visitors to St. John's, while providing them with service bulletins. Usher/Greeters provide assistance to visitors regarding seating, the flow of the service, and if needed, any special resources, such as hearing devices, braille worship booklets, and more. Ushers also assist during church services with the offering and communion.

Greeters focus on guests, intentionally approaching them with a welcoming smile, offering our church pamphlet, reminding them to fill out a guest card and escorting them to the Parish Hall for coffee after the service.

As an Usher or Greeter, you will be scheduled to serve once every 4 to 5 weeks, generally during the 10:45 AM service.  Training is provided.
