Presentations
The rite of a presentation of a child in the church (temple) is a grand celebration of the gift of life that God grants to children and the joy they bring.
There are two types of rites. The first - Special Prayers and a blessing during the service generally 40 days or so after the birth of the child. If you are interested in this type of Presentation, please call 512-580-0200 or send an email to ([email protected]) to reserve a date. You may also visit any service and talk to the Rector after the service. Except in cases of emergency, a minimum of 1 week advance notice is required. In case of emergency, speak to the Rector before the service; once the service begins a Presentation cannot be accommodated.
The second type of rite is a special service, generally on a Saturday, for a child of three years. We offer this service to members who have attended our services for a minimum of four months.
