St John’s Episcopal Youth Community (EYC) Welcome! Thanks for checking out our page! If you have questions about St John's EYC, you've come to the right place! Who makes up the EYC? Kids in 6th through 12th grade from all over the Austin area. We're an inclusive group who've come together to grow in our Christian knowledge, to help our community, to learn how to follow God's path, as well as to have a blast hanging out together! Over the summer we'll be hosting a few events, so be sure to keep checking our EYC blog for updates: http://stjohnseyc.blogspot.com; you can also contact Megan Flowers at StJohnsEYC@gmail.com for more information. Sunday School is on summer hiatus. In the upcoming school year we'll be participating in our diocesan Y.E.S. and Happening events, our own camping trips, lock-ins, service projects and more! For more information on the Texas Diocesan youth events, check out the link below. Our theme for the 2008-2009 school year is Peace or Shalom. During a trip to the Holy Lands this spring Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori said, "Stir things up, for this world certainly hasn't yet reached that divine dream of shalom." We're going to explore the many ways Peace can be achieved in our world and what we can do to make it happen!
