Episcopal Church Women

The Mission of ECW (Episcopal Church Women) is to have a venue for all Episcopal Women, Members and Active Non-Members, to fellowship, to reach out to each other and the community, and to have spiritual growth opportunities. 

1.  Membership in ECW is automatic, upon membership or by being active in the congregation.  All women, single, married, widowed, divorced, or in-between are welcomed, embraced and encouraged to participate.    Members of the church are eligible to be delegates at the annual meeting. 

2.  Fellowship and Outreach (to one another and to the community) allow us to get to know one another as Sisters in Christ.  Being an open fellowship of women lets us offer a venue to those not in a Christian environment to come and participate.

A.    Social gatherings allow us to get to know each other’s names, needs, and talents.

B.     Outreach activities encourage us to use our spiritual gifts to benefit one another and the community.

 3.       Spiritual Growth opportunities are offered in the form of Parish retreats for women, Quiet Days, Labyrinth walks, work days, Bible studies and Speakers.  We often have programs that the entire parish is invited to. 

As you come to St. John’s, ECW welcomes you!  We encourage you to actively participate, since you are ALREADY a member of ECW!
